This website is dedicated to preserve registers of Microsoft Flight Simulator 98! Most of them are
add-ons
and mods downloaded from several websites through the internet.
These mods were downloaded from Simviation in the section "FS98". Special credits to Mr. Abad who
made most of
these wonderful models.
It is a vintage flight simulator made for Windows 98, its one of my favorite games because it is
easy to
mod,
also it has some wonderful aesthetics. People back in
the 90's and early 2000's made a lot of custom content and addons to improve the gaming
experience.
I used VM's to run Windows 98 OS 2.5. with patches installed to run with 32-bit deep colour!, then I
installed
MS Flight Simulator 98 .iso and then the patches v1.1 and Flight Shop so you can play with custom aircrafts
and maps.
There
are more mods there that improve weather and random interactions with airports, but I dont know exactly how to
use them.
This website is optimized to be viewed on 1366x768 or superior.

Martin Liner 2-0-2: This particular aircraft was introduced in 1947 and was used until 1975. It has a variant which is called 202A also was replaced with the Martin 4-0-4 after a problem was discovered with the right wing. Here you can see how it looked in real life

De Havilland DH.60 Moth: It was created in early 1920's it has different version, the militar one, the one destined for commercial use and the last one which was used for acrobacies and stuff like that. here's how it looked like back then.

Convair CV-440: It was created in 1947 and was produced until 1956, it replaced the Douglas DC-3. It also had a militar version but I couldn't get any photos or information about it. Here's how it looked like in the 60's

Curtiss T-32 Condor: They were produced between 1933 and 1945. In Chile we had three of them which originally belonged to American Airlines. I couldn't find any pictures of the version used here but here's a reference

De Havilland Dove: It had capacity for seven passengers, LAN Chile had four daily frequencies to Valparaiso, every one of them landed on El Belloto airport, and then they were personnel in the routes to La Serena and Concepción.

Lockeed Lodestar: LAN 1943-1953. During WWII, this aircraft carried a big chilean flag in the nose, as neutrality badge. (Requirement of the "Pan American Exclusion Zone", imposed by USA to all air traffic flying in Latin American air-space).

Lockeed Electra: Lockeed Electra 10A was used by LAN Chile between the years 1941 to 1952. Its name came from a star in the Pleiades; its first prototype was undertaken at the University of Michigan.

Aérospatiale Alouette III: It belonged to the Chilean Navy, Ten Alouette III, version SA319B was used for maritime surveillance task, liaison, passenger, cargo and SAR operations. These ones started in 1958 and ended their life in 1991.

Vultee BT-13 Valiant FACH: BT stands for "Basic Trainer". It was flown by chilean cadets during the 1940's and 1950's decade, at Escuela de Aviación Capitán Ávalos. It was the second phase of the three phase training program for the pilots.
